In this third part of the interview conducted in berlin I asked asked Fabian Hansmann and Gabriel Yoran about success respectively performance indicators (KPI) they apply and their thoughts about internationalization of young businesses.
Backwards it is always quite easy to identify key performance parameters: 10 years ago it was definetely press coverage and distribution. Nevertheless these indicators are not necessarily valid for new businesses. Here fact based gut feelings are essential as well as the avoidance of costly risks („Fail quick – fail cheap“).
Good strategies – such as internationalization strategies – are mostly emerging, nevertheless good plans are required. But the plan is not what gets executed, the plan only helps to think about strategy in a specific way.
For Fabian and Gabriel probably stable values and ideals seem to be more important than the strategies, which will change over time anyway.
